1. 三只狐狸

Once there were three foxes,they worked together. They lived a happy life.

从前有三只狐狸，他们愉快地工作和居住在一起。

Little by little, the youngest fox became lazy,and often quarreled with the other foxes.

最小的狐狸又懒又坏，经常同其他的两只狐狸争吵。

The eldest had to leave, and the second fox was driven off, too.

One day the wolf found the skin of a sheep.

有一天狼发现了一块羊皮，

He put it on and walked among the sheep.

便披着它混入羊群。

A lamb thought that the wolf was its mother because his skin looked like hers.

一只小羊羔把这只披着羊皮的狼误认为自己的妈妈，

So it followed the wolf.

被领出了羊群。

Soon after they had left the dogs,the wolf came at the lamb and ate it up. 

狼成功地欺骗了羊群，吃掉了小羊羔。

3. 风和太阳

The wind and the sun were disputing who was the stronger.

风和太阳两方为谁的能量大相互争论不休。

Suddenly they saw a traveler coming down the road.

突然，他们看到一个行人走在路上，

The sun said, "Whoever can make the traveler take off his coat will be the stronger."

太阳说：“谁能使行人脱下衣服，谁就更强大。”

So the sun hid behind a cloud,and the wind began to blow as hard as it could.

太阳藏在乌云后面，风开始拼命地吹。

As the wind blew harder,the traveler wrapped his coat more closely around himself.

风刮得越猛烈，行人越是裹紧自己的衣服。

Then the sun came out.He shone on the traveler.

太阳出来了，暖暖地晒着行人。

The traveler soon felt quite hot,and took off his coat.

行人感到很热，很快就把外套脱了下来。

4. 聪明的乌龟

 A tiger is hungry,he is looking for food.

一只老虎很饥饿，他正在寻找食物。

He sees a frog in front of him.

他看到一只青蛙在他前面。

“Haha! A frog! My dinner!”so he rushes at the frog.

“哈哈！一只青蛙，我有晚餐啦！”于是，他扑向青蛙。

Behind the tiger,there is a tortoise.

在老虎的后边，有一只乌龟。

The little tortoise sees it;he bites the tiger’s tail.

小乌龟看见了，他猛咬一下啊老虎的尾巴。

“Ouch!” cries the tiger and he looks back.

“哎呦！”老虎疼得叫起来并回头看看。

The frog hears the voice and jumps into water.

此时青蛙听见了老虎的声音，他迅速跳进水里。

“Thank you, little tortoise.” says the frog.

“谢谢你，小乌龟。”青蛙说。

But the tiger is very angry. “Bother it! I’ll throw you to the sky!”

但是老虎十分愤怒：“讨厌！我要把你扔到天上去。”

“Thank you, I like flying in the sky,” says the tortoise.

“谢谢你，我喜欢在天空飞翔。”乌龟说。

The tiger stops, “I will throw you into the river.”

老虎停下来：“那我就把你扔到到水里。”

“Oh, no! I can’t swim; I will die if you throw me into the water.”

“哦，不！我不会游泳，如果你把我扔井水里我会死的。”

The tiger threw the tortoise into the water quickly.

老虎很快就把乌龟仍进水了。

“Thank you, Mr. Tiger. Bye-bye.”

“谢谢你，老虎先生，再见！”

The tortoise and the frog swim away together.

乌龟和青蛙一起游走了。
